Re: hey ryan
this is more straight up death metal than deathcore. still has big breakdowns but the riffs and vocals are better than their earlier shit

Re: hey ryan
i don't remember posting them in praise, i think they are pretty mediocre deathcore these days, breakdowns in every song, etc
however i did like some songs off their first ep. i actually love the high vocals on this

Re: hey ryan
that was generic as fuck in my opinion
i dont think you were praising them in your thread. rather poking fun at the opening riff of slaves beyond death. i believe i joined in. but i listened to a few new tracks after that and was hooked.
dear desolations been in my car for like 2 months. put it on when i want to murder the world. so just about every day

Re: hey ryan
hmm, i half want to argue and half don't
their songs just sound uninspired and bland to me, the guitars are so uncreative. the inclusion of those slam riffs / breakdowns in every song just scream lazy and uninspired and devalue the entire song
though i have been bored with most metal lately, haven't even finished the new ma album yet

Re: hey ryan
get on kingdoms. the last 2 tracks are maybe the most straight up fruital, death metal of the record
i get what youre saying about TAIM but for some reason DD pumps me the fuck up. i should probably go to the gym while jamming it. id shed all the pounds and amass all the gains

Re: hey ryan
the thing i do admire about deathcore is the high level of energy, i attribute that to the loud drums though. the blast beats and double bass are always extremely loud
