The Sisters of Mercy? To be honest, I'm not that knowledgeable about the genre 'post punk' but I do remember a fellating lover telling that they're a post punk band. Although, I usually just consider them to be new wave and I would categorize them among the likes of Spandau Ballet, Tears For Fears, etc.

yeah a lot of post punk got infused with new wave. there is some cool bands I am discovering from that time :idea:
