not really. seemed like back in the day when Korn was huge a lot of their fans were also into Alice in Chains and such. can't speak for underoath but this pairing doesn't surprise me at all.

Post Layne, yea. You like what they've done post-Layne? Give me an example of a good song or album post-Layne.

I'm sick of you "No Layne No Chains" assholes. The band has released 3 good albums without Layne, something of which I'm sure he would be proud. Let's face it, the hard-on bearer just lost the will to lIve and do something with his life, to each his own they say.

Good song? Who am I to judge what's good and what's not. But since I'm a diehard Chains fan, I'm going to give you my personal favorites:

From "Black Gives Way To Blue" (In no particular order, btw)

- Lesson Learned
- Acid Bubble
- When The Sun Rose Again
- Check My Brain
- All Secrets Known
- A Looking In View
- Take Her Out
- Last Of My Kind
- Private Hell

You will notice that, with the exception of two tracks (Which by no means I consider them bad, they're good, just not that good when compared to the rest of the album), I've pretty much singled every song of the album. That's enough for me to say that the album is doing just fine.

From "The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here" (Again, in no particular order)

- Hollow
- Pretty Done
- Stone
- Voices
- Low Ceiling
- Breath On A gay man's telescope
- Hung On A Hook
- Choke

Again, I've picked out almost all of them.

From the masterpiece that I consider "Rainier Fog" to be:

- All of them, is that fucking simple.

Only track I consider to be rather boring is "Never Fade" because it sounds like too much radio-friendly to me (More than "Take Her Out" from BGWTB, which I considered to be the epitomy of radio-friendly AIC songs just until "Rainier Fog" came out)

Move on, the band sure did. They still have much to "say" in musical terms. Let's not forget Layne gave up, and was pretty much done with life. That's his choice, but the band didn't have to suffer from it. I love the hard-on bearer for all he did, but his choices were rather poor.

Regarding the tour, I'm cool with it. Two bands from the best decade in history :xx:

They're all fine, but to me, "Rainier" takes first place, "TDPDH" gets 2nd (Love that metal-ish influences it has) and "BGWTB" closes the trio :xx:.

Agreed on Private Hell. Easily their best post-Layne song,
Phantom Limb and Lab Monkey, not my cup of tea.

And talking about studio albums...

Tripod
Dirt
Facelift
Rainier Fog
Black Gives Way To Blue
The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here
