yesssssssssss :xx::::::::::::::

everything from their original run up through last rights is good to incredible. too dark park and last rights are both masterpieces, not a wasted moment on either disc. if you haven't jammed either, those should be your top priority. the process was their last album worth owning and pretty uneven compared to the albums that preceded it, and everything from the reunion (greater wrong of the right) and forward can be safely written off

They owe a lot of their progression to uncle al.

what did he do besides production on rabies? i've nothing against al -- he was obviously huge in that late 80s/early gloryhole era nexus of industrial & metal. & it's a great album (despite the marked step back in quality from VVI's recording), but afaik he didn't have any direct involvement in their crowning achievements that directly followed it.

my view has always been that dwayne was the brains behind their best impulses, mostly because they disappeared along with him. admittedly, i don't know much about the inner workings of the band in their glory days, so if there's a story behind that i am 100% interested in finding out more!

I've always dabbled in industrial type music, but it never really came to fruition. I think it's time :tvrky: I

I was referring more towards al's work on With Sympathy and Rape and Honey. Which were key albums in thrusting that type of music into a more mainstream medium. Al did persuade SP to incorporate more guitar driven songs on SP's albums but at the same time he caused some tension between Cevin and Ogrr. Which could have possibly caused the two to outduel each other in their respective roles in the group.
