Sounds like this could be awesome but the audio quality of the recording is bad. But then again, I can understand that this so-called 'chamber music' can be hard to replicate on a recording.

I wonder what happens if halfway through the song, the artist realizes he isn't happy with what he's done so far but because of time constraint, he has to finish the drawing even if he's no longer inspired and it turns out to be crap...

not the first time i've seen a band do the live painting thing. one example - there was some progressive black metal band at hellfest who had someone paint their banner logo while the band played.

as far as Mayhem goes - would love to hear a soundboard recording of this
