It's just a shame they never played much of it live. On that note once upon the cross just turned 25 last month :krinor:

I mean even when I first saw them in 2000 or 2001 they had already gone down to just playing dead but dreaming.

Steve seems pretty underappreciated as a drummer though.

deicide was always overshadowed by ma, obituary, cc, death etc but they are fucking solid as a rock. st, legion, outc, scars, stench, serpents, even the newest one, overtures of blasphemy all shred balls.

Maybe since the Hoffman's left but those early albums are fairly well appreciated. Steve just isn't that over the top drummer like some of the other bands have had. Dude is just solid as fuck and can still play bang those songs out at ridiculous speeds live.

Yup. Stench was the last album I was genuinely interested in checking out because I wanted to see what a decide record without the Hoffman's sounded like.

Now that I don't remember.

I remember getting my copy of scars that came with some making of documentary thing. Glen came off like a real douche from what I remember of that.

Deicide is literally one of the first bands I got into as a teen.
I was surprised to see how well they managed to handle the post-Hoffman period. Their output has been solid, if not great. The last Hoffman album was a total turd.
Legion would be my second favorite Deicide album. OUTC takes the cake :benton:
