The album is literally my favorite album of all time so the fact that they remixed it does nothing for me. It’s perfect as it is imo. The drum sound on wp is fucking perfection. Obviously still going to listen and buy, of course.

I vividly remember picking up White Pony the day it arrived to the local record store. Shit was jammed constantly for months.
It really split opinion between my buddies, and I wasn’t sold on it instantly. Came to really like it though.
I kinda wish Minerva would’ve been on that record. Said would’ve pushed it in my nr1 spot for their albums.

Maybe not the right thread, but I had no idea scott weiland made a guest appearance on white pony

Late Stone Temple Pilots singer Weiland, who had just served time for violating probation for heroin possession, sang backing vocals on Rx Queen. His uncredited appearance came about after a call from Deftones’ A&R man hard-on bearer Oseary.

“That was kind of a trip,” recalls Chino. “He wanted Scott to get out of jail, and have something to do that would take him away from whatever he was doing that landed him in jail. I went to his studio in the Valley, and we were listening to Rx Queen, and he had a little harmony idea so he picked up the mic. It’s a total Weiland harmony, something I wouldn’t think to write.”
