I have to give this one a spin yet. This week (3/22) had like 9 releases I had on my list and this is the last one.

Everyone should listen to this. Seriously. Super solid death metal some some slight doom and tech elements but it’s pretty much straight forward death metal but boy howdy is it fucking gnarly and done extremely well. I think you all will dig it.

This one too. This is blackened death/doom with some amazing strings throughout. Just dripping with atmosphere.

New Tzompantli album in May! Fucking yes!!

The title and artwork are awesome imo. It’s death metal af. Hoping my vinyl and shirt ships sooner than the release date. Also AOTY for me. Unless Dead Congregation surprise releases their long overdue album.

I think I like the title/art because it reminds me a lot of Begotten. Art reminds me of the character (God) in the movie that mutilates himself. I wonder if it’s just a coincidence or it’s inspired by it in some way. Hmm

it's not bad but i just don't think it's as good as their previous art/titles. honestly any other song title on this album would have been better imo

the fractal pattern just doesn't feel like ulcerate, it feels sterile and uninteresting in this context

The Dawn is Hollow would’ve been a sweet title

The title's not great, and has Vital Remains energy to it. Same with the cover art. The last album bashes this one to bits in those two depts.

The music though? Fucking excellent!

A little too early to place the new one anywhere, but I like it a lot. Need to hear everything before Stare Into Death again. Been a while.

Stare's one of my favourite modern DM releases of all time though. Doubt the new one can stack up, even though it's quite the kicker.

of fracture and failure is a great album no one talks about, it has my favorite ulcerate song on it (failure)

vermis and shrines of paralysis contain their most dissonant and chaotic material. destroyers is probably their most tame album

New one is like a refined Stare. Even more memorable songs. It’s a better version. Further opening the wounds, transfiguration, undying, and the title track are some of their top tracks.
