pantera appreciation in this period

Post by scunt. »

I haven't listened to Pantera in for fucking ever, but I've been on a huge kick of them for the past week or so. Rhino needs to get in here and represent with me :xx:

This is most definitely the band that put me on the right track, as far as metal is concerned.

Haters double old fvck off

i didn't like much of their stuff after GSTK, but i loved their earlier material. i have to say, though, that the hard-on for them has gone quite limp over the years.

I used to be a huge fan boy from 6th to 11th grade but it waned there for a few years. Now I've been listening to them again and remembering how much all of their albums win. :santa:

GSTK is a pretty under-appreciated album. It came out right when bands were all going nu-metal, and it was unbelievably caustic. Loves me some Floods and Suicide Note Pt. 1.

But CFH, VDP, and FBD are unbelievably sick. :xx:

Whenever I crank up some Pantera these days, it's almost always FBD now as opposed to how it was always CFH or VDOP ways back.
