who started the whole 'groove-grind-rock' thing?

who started the whole 'groove-grind-rock' thing?

Post by FUKKET »

I'm listening to Blood Duster and it just occured to me: that I have no idea who was the first band to do the 'groove-grind-rock' thing?

You know; big phat classic-rock riffs, followed by 'blast-your-face-off' grindcore. Usually with lyrics about gore, sex, death & porn.

Any ideas who was the first?

Blood Duster were formed in 1991. Were any other bands incorporating big rock stuff into their grind before 1991?

I don't know about any.

I'm not a big fan of gore-grind bands, but i like some here & there.

There's a heap of bands doing this style. One I found a few years ago was French band "Gronibard".

I didn't mind it.

Who's the gore-grind expert here?
