Re: Best Bolt Thrower
Difficult question. I've always leant a little towards The IVth Crusade but each of the first four albums are brilliant.

Re: Best Bolt Thrower
cannot decide
i mean, Realm of Chaos is so skullcrushingly heavy that people should have special licences to play that monstrous album so that our puny planet doesn't implode. War Master is the perfect balance of old and new; punishing, heavy, melodic, catchy, awesome. IVth Crusade is fucking epic and easily their most atmospheric (and longest, IIRC). and ...For Victory is like a mix of the previous two and it features their best tune/most awesome concert closing song ever:
"They shall not grow old
As we that are left grow old
Age shall not weary them
Nor the years condem.
At the going down of the sun
And in the morning
We will remember them."
"We will remember them"

...For Victory. That's when said band really started to shine for the I. Bolt Thrower is one of those bands whose later material I preferred over the old stuff.

War Master, Mercenary and Those Once Loyal. I think those are the top three for me.
