POD HD

Post by M.Bison »

Anybody tried? Worth upgrading from a 2.0? or something else? I downgraded from Engl Fireball cause I needed the dosh, now i'm fancying something better.

For instance, POD HD VS Digitech GSP1001?

I don't use that many fancy effects, though it was cool to have them when I had a POD x3 live for a while. The rocktron usually just gets used for some reverb/delay.

It's either digital modelling with my poweramp, or flogging everything bar speaker cab and getting a head, though I'm not sure what to go for. I like the super heavy Engl'y tones again lately...

(current gear: pod2.0, rocktron intellifex, peavey classic 60/60, genz benz g-flex 212)

I had the original POD back in the day, it was neat but didn't impress me much

however my cousin has a newer Line 6 amp and one of those floor POD units, very surprised and impressed with the sounds of those

seems like you did it the right way, found your own thing that works for you the best

it's definitely better to go with what pleases your own ears vs. what others say you "should" get

be it digital, analog, or some combo of both

if someone told me a few years ago that I'd eventually have a hard on for fuzz pedals, I'd have laughed at the idea

I still dig my amp's grit, but it ain't the same
