I've been thinking of ditching my current rack rig of preamp/rack poweramp and getting a head, using rack stuff I have just for effects.
Specifically I've been eyeing up the Marshall JVM 410. There is some really cool sounding youtube videos of this amp.

Rhythm wise that is in the ball park of the sound I tend to like, on an album, think Lost Soul's last two CD's.
But how does it do for leads? Alot of people here have the JCM 900, is this type of tone possible on that amp?
Also, is the JVM capable of this Van Halen sounding tone, coming here from the SL-X?

I kinda want the best of both worlds here and don't have the opportunity to try both amps out. What do you guys think?
