making drum tracks in FL studio
i was told this is possible and it seems like a viable way. i have FL studio 10 producer edition and i intend to make drum tracks on it then import said drum tracks to a DAW (in my case, i use reaper). anyone here has done this or have done the same?

Re: making drum tracks in FL studio
Yeah I've done it a lot.
I usually insert each soundfile I want for each drumhead/cymbal into the step sequencer as an audio file.
Link each audio file to a seperate track so you can EQ/Compress.
Then I program the drum patterns using the little on/off buttons.

Its best to do it pattern by pattern and then join them up in the main step sequencer

yep, it was.
HOWEVER - I did label each channel clearly then exported the drums as a midi file. And gave it to someone who had awesome protools plugins and drumkits, which made it all super realistic. I'm not sure if FL has the capacity to introduce realistic 'randomness' into each drumhit that say toontracks does, so that means things sound obviously fake once you get over 230bpm or so
