not really, found xfer serum for mac but not pc (though i do really appreciate your help). no biggie though, i did some more hunting and found a really cool vst synth called Massive, absolutely loving it so far, I haven't even made it through testing all the presets.
been getting all my recording gear setup again, been having some fun messing around but it's going to take a bit of time to get some good guitar/drum sounds worked out.

This thread needs more action. I'm not a member of these but ProAudioTorrents looks like the go. Looks like they used to let people join on the first day of every month or something but that may not be the case anymore. You can also donate for an account. I'm pretty sketchy on paying for this kind of stuff and leaving traces all over the internet personally.
Having a look around I also noticed Audionews.org - invite only, Theaudioscene.net - donation.
