It the custom Ironbird build.
So I gave up on finding an ironbird threw some money at a luthier that is going to build me a mark I/Tr3y-style style copy. The specs are currently:
Mahogany body wings
3pc wenge neckthru construction, graphite reinforcement rods. No paint on the back of the neck
Ebony fretboard, classic BCR diamond-shape inlays
Modern BCR-style reverse headstock
Gotoh GE1996-T MIJ floyd rose with a brass block
Goeldo Back Box trem stabilizer
Gotoh Tuners
All black hardware
Direct mounted pickups, no pickup rings
Bridge humbucker: PAF Pro or a steve's special, I have both laying around.
Some sort of poplar burl, walnut burl, or quilt maple veneer on the top just for looks, depending on the samples he gets. If they are not to my liking I'll just do a solid color paintjob.
Body and headstock stained transparent grey/black, if veneer option is a go.
As construction comes along I'll decide if I also want a neck pickup, but for now it's single bridge humbucker. Might throw in a slanted jackson j100 alnico single coil in the neck position since they are cheap and sound amazing in my Charvel Model 5FX, but I kind of want it to be original and not obvious Trey-worship.
Really looking forward to this.

Oh and neck specks: thin jackson/BCR C-shape with somewhere around a 16" fretboard radius, and huge jumbo stainless steel fretwire. I am imagining this thing sustaining single notes like a splendid mate of mine.

Template and woods beneath it, really liking that dark wenge. Just needs a minor change to one of the cusps.
Top+headstock veneer will be a walnut burr like this, oiled and stained:You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Re: It the custom Ironbird build.
It's already paid for, under 6 bills effectively. I bought all the hardware and electronics (some I had already) and a case for it, that's included in there.
Already have plans for a 7 string version of this.
