Audacity rocks my world

For some time I was stuck with overly complicated software like amplitube, when all I really wanted to do was record COMPUTER audio and my guitar going through a Pod 2 amp (because the virtual amps on amplitube aren't that good). Audacity is simple and best of all free. Has lots of functionality.

Give this a thumbs up if you agree

hmm i remember having audacity installed a few PCs ago but never much used it

i just use reaper on this one, which technically isn't free but is very sard-friendly in that they just nag you to buy it but don't actually switch any functionality off

i will pay for the license eventually i guess

There are some features of SoundForge I miss.

There were some feedbacking things with its reverb I haven't been able to replicate anywhere else.

What happened to Soundforge. Was free but now priced?

I don't recall it being free. But I dn't crack software anymore and, to be honest, it had become a bit bloated the last time I tinkered with it.

Go for a full DAW like Reaper.
