Seeing how Tosin Abasi uses his guitars is so inspiring. I'm doing a lot of jazz stuff at the moment and I love his compositions. Any 8 string guitarists?

I barely find a use for a 7. Had the opportunity to get a 7 string ironbird made... and I went with a 6 string with a few extra upper frets.
I do miss the uv7bk I used to have though.

I will never sell my uv7, and steve vai signed it too. I love using the low strings together with higher chords. Great way of voicing chords.

i am not a fan of 8 string guitars or Tosin Abasi's music to be honest. i feel like tosin is another one of those hyper-technical guitarists who does a lot of interesting things and has incredible technique but doesn't actually write any good music, at least it doesn't do anything for me.

I don't like everything Tosin/Animals as Leaders does but a lot of his new compositions are very interesting to me technique-wise. I just try to practise what he does and make it my own to then write different stuff with it.

i respect jazz, a close fellating lover of mine is a jazz pianist and the theory and skill required for that stuff is absolutely mind boggling
