Whoa. Very happy with the recorded rhythm tracks. It went very smooth. Void is a pleasure to work with.
The Palmer worked great. I really like the way my guitars sound.
Now we have to see when we have the time to record bass, leads and then vocals. So far so good.

Hehehe you got exactly what mr. P asked for...
I've been listening to the raw mix (drums and 4 layers of rhythm tracks) for a few days now and i'm still very content with the stuff so far.

It's an open B string tuned to Bb.... And if lasts for 4 seconds you all got one more second than asked for...
Nah, it was just a joke. It is the sound we recorded with but those few seconds are not any indication as to how it is gonna sound.

Re: Your Current Projects
just learning random songs here and there. my guitar doesn't stay in tune so it's kind of an exercise in futility. recently got my synthesizer up and running again, so i've been learning stuff on there and using that to help with my music theory for tremendous retards class.
on guitar i've worked out most of this

and on the synthemasizer i recently decided i needed to know how to play

because it's seriously amazing. simple, of course, incredibly so. but man oh man is it satisfying to hear and to play

Fugazi's last album The Argument is a great album, but all their stuff is jammable.
Les Savy Fav are more of a cult band. I actually went to see them on new year's eve, theyre awesome.

Recording leads today... Gonna try out some sounds, different guitars. Not gonna be fancy shredding just some melodic (ahum) passages and some chaos leads.
The Sarge is on his way to pick up me and my gear. He's in for three days of noiZe hahaha.

worked on some later gorguts/ulcerate/dso-inspired kinda shit earlier. got about 25 bars done for guitars and bass, just gotta work on the drums and then it's off to my bandmate for his input and expansion. its hard writing drum parts for choppy music like that if you're only used to working on straightforward riffing.

Re: Your Current Projects
I've got about 15 or so demos of work-in-progress songs for my current project. Finishing writing and piecing them together, record my parts, get the other guitarist to record his, record the drums, spend some time talking to our new keyboardist about accompaniments and mood, record all that noise, ... I'll just truncate the rest of this by saying: everything else.

Re: Your Current Projects
i really hate taking my ideas from guitar to program - first i have to struggle sometimes to figure out the time signature and fight with it to get things sounding right. and i feel like i lose a lot of the feeling and it becomes stale when recording to a click
