Shopping for labels... ATM our drummer is on tour again. I'm working on new bio and cleaning up shots of a improvised photoshoot.
Soon i hope to have a Facebookpage up with samples of the songs which will be on the Label promo. I want those same samples also on Youtube with some graphics i am working on.
Unfortunately i've had a bad computer crash and i lost some stuff.

Re: Your Current Projects
just saw that Slimey's last show was recorded and posted.
it's a bit weird to navigate, but the player works with sub folders. just find Slimeys until the tracks appear.
Darth Vegas are also a good band to check out (very early Bungle i.e: Oompa/Circus lounge metal

i just recorded a drone track as part of my remix/remake/rearrangement project - i think you might like Tom.
It's very Sunn-esque, just not as good
the thing that I'm most stoked about is - it's all impulses.... which I'm right into now!

i'll send it to you tonight probably.
(it's really hard to mix - i've got 8 tracks of droning guitars and getting them to each come through just how I'd like is quite hard. hats off to folks who mix Sunn O))), early Earth & ASVA etc etc...)

it all depends on which distortion you're using, most of the time less gain on a track which is recorded 8 times will create a massive wall, instead of a fuzz-ocean. I'd like to know what their mix engineer does to the guitar tracks as far as EQ and compression go.

2nd last track of Vol 4, there's still 2 (maybe even 3) Volumes worth of songs and people participating!

Yeah, i was writing some riffs last night, but they keep coming out fairly DM-ish. We need to get rehearsing and get some horrible noises and ambient feedback going.

I'm going to grim up the fucking place! What did you think??
Anyway, that studio just sounds amazing. Great gear, really vintage stuff next to modern hi-end equipment. They get all kinds of music so it's a really interesting place.

Re: Your Current Projects
just finished mixing a rock n roll band's promo.
i think it sounds great, but the client is the one that should be happy with it.
just threw on a master plugin to pump it up a little bit, they're coming over for a listen in a few.
hope they dig it!
but, i fucking hate it when musicians want to add all sorts of extra bits to the song but start bitching about the mix sessions getting too pricey because i have to make all those little extra's work.
isn't it obvious when you're aiming for a pro song with a pro mix that you're going to have to pay its price?
seems this isn't that logical to many...
i like the result that i got, definitely best drum sound so far, but i'll be glad when they walk out of here with the final CD in their pockets.
