Re: Your guitar collection
previously owned:
a black unbranded super strat style, purchased for $20. physically destroyed
epiphone SG, traded half a pack of cigarettes for it, required extensive repairs to get functioning again. eventually passed it on to a fellating lover who wanted to learn guitar, i just recently learned he's still in possession of it. that guitar passed through at least half a dozen friends/acquaintances before it landed with me.
takamine g-something classical guitar. bought that one new in '04 or so, recently sold it before i moved out of SC because i didn't have room for it in the car :(
currently own:
ibanez RG570. my absolute favorite guitar ever. bought it new in '98, never seen another one personally with the same finish (think it's called gold rush) though i am certain they do exist, somewhere. it's in a pretty sad state of repair, i'm going to see if i can get it fixed soon, one of the trem post cavities is screwed and causes it to lean forward when it's under tension, so the action gets ridiculously jacked above the 12th fret.
bc rich nj mockingbird. trans-blue finish, has one of the floyd speedloader trems. i like this one quite a bit, but the stock pickups are atrocious, i'd eventually like to replace them.
ibanez RG7321. not really a great guitar, but i didn't have high expectations given it's cheap-ass price, so i can't say i've been terribly disappointed with it.
for other instruments, i also have a dean 5-string bass of middling quality, a roland alpha-juno 1 synthesizer, and a korg X3 workstation.

Re: Your guitar collection
The star as in the picture is an ESP body from a local shop who used to be a Dutch ESP "custom" shop. This was a leftover which i bought maybe 15 years ago... Solid mahogony. The neck was a warmoth, pickup a Dimarzio super distortion and the trem is a Ibby LoPro-Edge. I sold the neck recently and is has a new neck now with a Jackson style headstock and dark rosewood board with no inlays.
It's a very nice playing guitar.

Re: Your guitar collection
Bringing this thread... back from teh dead
Ibanez RG7620, Fender Telecaster (Mexican), Charvel Model 5A (w/Bareknuckle Nailbomb and Gotoh bridge)
I'd recommend those Gotoh bridges for anyone looking to replace an old trem. It was cheaper than the 'official' Floyd Rose and performs as well as the Ibanez Edge on my 7-string which people seem to rate highly. Infinitely better than the non-branded licensed floyds I have tried in the past (2 dive bombs, outta tune), literally hasn't gone out of tune since I put it on.

Re: Your guitar collection
A Washburn 6-string with EMGs, it was my first guitar, pretty good actually, I've done the 18v mod on the EMGs (81 and 85).
Got this recently, a Schecter Hellraiser C7, really liking it so far.
Also got this beast, 7 string fretless bass.

Re: Your guitar collection
I gotta get one of them USB guitar links.
My dilemma is, is the simple cheap USB guitar link practically enough for most home recording purposes? No delay or whatsoever kind of issues? Or is it worth it to purchase something like say...an M-AUDIO Fast track?

Re: Your guitar collection
I have had one. They work fine, you can lower the samples to get a better response-time (I got it to like 2ms, you can't feel it, at all), and it still sounds pretty damn good, with the right software this really works great (and is cheap, so, get it).

Could you illustrate the bottom half of the stand using a light capturing device such as a camera?

Apparently some of the Jackson 'experts' that I've talked to say they've heard nothing but great things about the new Made in India Jacksons.
