I haven't tried in a different browser - but at least in firefox spell check doesn't seem to work.

I imagine Imran smells like pot pourri. 

never mind - I figured it out. apparently under language "English" wasn't checked.

I was unaware of this spell check thing. Where is it? 

If I recall Firefox correctly, it's the same as Chrome's. A red jagged underline will appear beneath a misspelled word. You can right-click that for suggestions, to ignore it, or to add it to the dictionary. Works fine on Chrome.
