I live in one of those countries with a worthwhile social safety net I do not worry about these things, I just try to stay fit

i often wonder what i will do for work when i get older. sometimes i think i'd like to teach younger kids about computers as i wish i had a good computer teacher when i was little.

I have some money tied up in stocks but it's laughably not anywhere close to enough to live on for more than a couple of years at most at this point. Hopefully by time I retire it will have grown enough to be worthwhile, assuming the economy doesn't crash in the near future. I'm more concerned with saving enough to buy a house - not having to pay rent or a mortgage once you're retired would make things a lot easier for sure.

I feel that should only be an option if you are in shit health. If I was in constant pain and struggled with everyday life when I'm an old fart I think I would just say fuck it.

i'm reasonably healthy right now but the odds don't favor me making it to 65, let alone past it
