Re: The end of Sears
Nope.
Eddie Lampert is an imbecile who worshiped Ayn Rand and it should be taught in all future economic and business classes how the principals of the Randian economic philosophy were proven to be complete and utter failure when put into practice in the real world.
The scary thing is that there are still plenty of people, usually "Libertarians" who worship the fuck out of Rand and her bullshit.

good luck!
Eddie Lampert will be the first to be paid once the bankruptcy proceedings begin, all other creditors be damned.

article is from last year so there is probably even more bullshit that has happened since - what he did should be damn illegal but here we are.

I used to enjoy look through the toy section of their Christmas catalogue as a kid
Maybe I'll see if there's a store still open anywhere near me and try to get some stuff for dirt cheap. I wish I had done that before Herberger's closed, because I could use some new somewhat nice cold weather clothes.

Re: The end of Sears
There's a Kmart down the street from me that refuses to die, which is especially irritating because for some reason when it was built the city decided it would be a good idea to have the site interrupt a busy road. I'm pretty sure the city recently bought the rights to the land from Sears Holdings in anticipation of the end.
It's kind of weird walking around that store, because it's as if that particular location is forever stuck in the year 1997. They still use those IBM cash registers that have a keyboard with the protective plastic cover and the small tube monitors that only display one color.

I imagine the death of the retail store will continue until only Wal-Mart is left
