i listened to purple in the car yesterday. it was robust and urgent. i am surprise morningstar and kerosene are standout jams, along with a few others whose names i forget

to be honest i enjoyed it more than y&g. will do more listening as spring emerges to confirm or disconfirm this impression

i can't quite nail down what irks the shit out of me about post-blue album baroness but this featured exclusively whatever that is, start to finish

aside from the music though, the continued insistence on "the color album" naming convention puts them in the same league as post-pinkerton weezer
