not in the slightest, it is this deal

https://victrola.com/products/victrola- ... -turntable

the speakers aren't great but they are fine for make-me-happy purposes. we have a really nice soundbar that i got in california but haven't bothered to set up again, so i might fuck with that at some near point :bulb:

also this gives me an opportunity to maybe possibly get into vinyl  :interessant:

Well that is definitely cause for a :thingy:

Any neat record stores near you?
when i was in high school there was a cool little shitbox metal and oddities record store about twenty minutes from here, i would be delighted if it still exists but i'm afraid to look it up :eyes:

also there is criminal records in atlanta, which i have actually never been to despite it being legendary  don't tell anyone

other than that i'm not sure. once i get my shots i need to do some investigating

Vinyl is fucking righteous but incredibly tricky to buy the right version. You could get into cassettes too

Ned’s are a longstanding favorite. My only regret is not going to a gig of theirs when I was in London a while ago. Apparently their gigs in England are second to none.

Crass rule. Banned From The Roxy :judge:

aye i may. but cassettes, while a fun relic, are nowhere near as cool as vinyl

also i didn't see the cassette player on the side until like a week later and it set me a-giggling

I have a bunch of cassettes I got on the cheap years ago when my local chain store was still open. They'd have them from .50 to like $3, it was fun digging through them
