in the space of ten days georgia went from only essential medical first responder folk plus adults over 65 to only adults over 55 plus people with very specific medical conditions to starting today every single adult

last week it emerged that georgia has been sitting on between 850,000 (dph estimate) and 1.3 million (cdc estimate) unused vaccines

also that rural areas have far more vaccines than they need, while densely populated areas -- like the entire atlanta region -- has a shortage of both vaccines and personnel to give them

these things are probably all unrelated though

I honestly didn't think I had it at all. I watched my ex's youngest kid for a couple hours on Thursday. When she came to pick him up, she showed me a text she had just gotten from his teacher saying he had to quarantine for 2 weeks because another kid on the playground at the same time as him tested positive. Work wanted me to quarantine until I could be tested this morning. They fucked my nose with a swab and I'm Covid-free.
