Re: Gonna get my vote on tomorrow
I predict the following if Donnie loses
- "Trumpism" will continue, and not just because a few articles out there are saying the same thing but because really it's true. You can very clearly see the signs, the Republican party has shifted further to the Right. Donnie T will be regarded as the martyr hero who never got a fair chance because of the establishment, media and even internal sabotage from centrist Republicans. A dynasty has been created to carry the torch, the Don juniors/Ivanka and family will continue where he left off. And you have guys like Tom Cotton who will emerge as standard bearers to pick up where Donnie left off.
- There will be an internal factional struggle in the Republican Party, led by the centrist Republicans against the Donnie faction, the main charge being the Donnie faction led the party down the path of electoral defeat and un-electability because it was too extreme and chaotic. For a similar analogy, you can see what transpired in UK where Jeremy Corbyn imposed a Leftist grip on the Labour Party but ultimately lost badly in the elections - the centrists took over and wiped the slate clean of Corbynism.

Really need congress as a whole too. If Biden wins and the senate stays under McConnell's thumb absolutely fuck all is going to get done.

Re: Gonna get my vote on tomorrow
democratic control of the senate + house means nothing because they will still be led by pelosi and schumer
interesting. i was pretty convinced for most of the year that he was gonna blow it, but it sure seems like things are going in his favorgeometric honeypot wrote: ↑25 Oct 2020, 19:28i was cautiously optimistic for a minute but that is gone, i don’t think biden will win

Outside of handling the early stages of covid shit here Hogan has been wildly uneventful his entire time in office from what I can remember.

Re: Gonna get my vote on tomorrow
so since i've been out of town and what not a lot this month I never got around to mailing mine. went to today to the early voting site and dropped it off - didn't even have to wait in line! just walked right up - it was great.Burton C. Bell wrote: ↑13 Oct 2020, 02:57::::::
