The Boys is about as anti-superhero as you can get, and it's great. Garth Ennis really, really doesn't like superheroes

Yes and the show is one of my fave comic adaptations. I love superheroes I grew up with them but the Boys is a great pallet cleanser in an over saturated market.

Finally started the first season of True Detective and yeah this is excellent. I've heard the other seasons aren't up to par but I'll give them a chance and see how they go.

The first season was like they caught lightning in a bottle. Phenomenal really. Season two is total dogshit. Season 3 is back in the spirit of season 1 at least. They attempted to mirror the storyline but overall meh.

I just finished the "Catch-22" mini series on Hulu. It was OK, but they didn't really capture what I found to be the strong points of the book.

I also checked out the original "Taking of Pehlham 123" which was kind of cool. It's free on Youtube right now.
