Yeah he plays that role so well. It almost seems like a pseudo-sequel to A History of Violence.
Oh man that's one I haven't watched in years.

In January 2015, Kilmer was hospitalized for what his representative said were tests for a possible tumor. Kilmer said on social media, "I have not had a tumor, or a tumor operations [sic], or any operation. I had a complication where the best way to receive care was to stay under the watchful eye of the UCLA ICU".[69] After previously denying persistent rumors that he had been diagnosed with cancer, Kilmer said in April 2017 that he had experienced a "healing of cancer".[70] In December 2017, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Kilmer had gone through a "two-year battle with throat cancer" and that "a procedure on his trachea has reduced his voice to a rasp and rendered him short of breath".[71] Due to the cancer, Kilmer underwent chemotherapy and two tracheotomies.[71][72][73][74] In 2020, Kilmer reported that he had been cancer-free for four years and that he uses a feeding tube to feed himself because he can no longer eat.[75]

Yes indeed. Definitely not for everyone but I dig the symbolism. You seen any of Jodorowsky's other works?

I have not no but I’d be down to check others out.

You ever watch any Tarkovsky? Particularly Andrei Rublev and Solaris?

Been watching the Sarah Connor Chronicles. It's pretty ambitious for a TV show (at least action sequence wise) but unfortunately came about just before it was discovered that mainstream broadcasts could be pretty dark and still do fine.

This series has an embarrassing amount of schmaltzy material involving everything from John cheating on math homework from his very own terminator to him being upset that his mom might have forgotten about his birthday, presumably because they were being chased by terminators.

Fear Street is neat if you enjoy the stranger things vibe. Very similar and tons of similarities.
