Having older parents has been rough through all this. Mine are finally getting the right care, but holy shit I felt like an asshole recovering from surgery while they were worrying about all that stuff. Lots of my stupid medical appointments while they were waiting to get treated. What a nightmare.

I’m in midst of renovating my house so everything is upside down. Last 4 weeks have consisted of 16 hour workdays :oldryan:
But things are pretty excellent. Family is healthy and happy and spring is around the corner :xx:

Me and the wife both have the first round. Waiting on the kids to be eligible.

Taxes are did and work is picking up for me. So hopefully I can get back on track to putting a few dollars into my house and make it sellable.

As far as I'm concerned I won. It's just a matter of being able to pull the trigger on it.

Nah it ain't like that. She has more or less agreed but won't admit it because once she does I'll be full time in to getting out of here. We just differ on when the move should happen at this point.

Things aren't so great. One goldfish is not well, she's still young :eyes: My right shoulder keeps hurting. My mum is now vaccinated and safe but she's not as fit as she used to be.
We had elections this month and I don't like the outcome, swing to the right with a chance of idiots joining the formation (of a new government). Nice to complain :necro:

I barely manage five cell phone stores and have taken on repair as a supplementary source of revenue. I replaced the screen on one iPhone so far :redneck: a little nervous about the newer ones because iPhones can be touchy little bastards. One wrong move and *poof* Face ID will never work again.

i've stopped drinking during the week over the last month and i'm feeling a lot better in general. brain mostly seems to be working ok; still can't really cope with mainlining reality fulltime so i have swapped boozing it for getting stoned on weeknights. but i am generally a lot sharper and better able to articulate thoughts and such. that's nice. still need to put the brakes on from time to time, friday+saturday night drinks seem to do a good enough job of that. i don't think it will be permanent but the shift has been mostly pleasant so far. hopefully i can at least get back to my target weight before i revert back to my usual habits.

Got tested on Tuesday - negative. Tomorrow I'll visit my parents for the first time in almost 2 months. I'll. get my first dose on May 22th. It might be earlier if my workplace will decide to organize vaccination point. I want to lose some weight. 15 kg would be perfect, but I'll be happy if it's 10.

Havent drank beers in a long time but I will chug a seltzer or two after work. If I have the next day off I'll drink 6 or 7 but I know my limit where I'll feel like shit the next day so I'll stop there. Nearing 40 has really made me slow down and I'm ok with that

The problem with warm weather approaching I'll start getting together with friends and neighbors more and porch drinking will ensue and I always drink too much, I keep telling myself I'll drink a handful and drink water the rest of the time but it never happens :/
