We've had a few tiny ones pop up in Maryland over the years.

The one I saw was driving cross country in south Dakota. Fucker was way off in the distance though but was enough for me to not wanna see one again.

Only real weather I've dealt with is blizzards. Which aren't bad if you can stand being inside for a few days.

We've had the edges of hurricanes and tropical storms hit but it's basically just really bad rain. Not all the destruction that comes with being hit by a full on storm.

yes / no. they are very common during hurricanes but they aren't nearly as destructive as the ones they get in other parts of the country. had a few go through my neighborhood during those times and usually they just took out screen patios and trees.

Yes, back in elementary school (early gloryhole era ). We did the whole routine of crouching in the hallway with a textbook over the back of our neck. A nearby farm got completely fucked up but our school made it out ok. And I survived.
