i vaped cbd for a little while, i don't know how effective the cdb was but it was kind of a nice thing to reach for if i was feeling anxious. i had a big over-complicated vape though which was annoying

Check this simple portable one out then. The Pax3 is also out but doesn't add much from the 2, which is now cheaper.
This is dry herb only so no oils or cartridges.
I also checked out the Davinci Miqro but the battery only lasts 1 short session.

it's generally just a lot less messy and user-friendly compared to traditional routes to getting high. they also make vapes that work with concentrates which can reach extremely high levels of potency, which is good for people who enjoy that sort of thing, or for people who just want to sort themselves out for the night with a tiny little taste
my brother had the pax a while ago, it was pretty good but i think shit the bed after a year or two.

some people use them as an alternative to cigarettes, a lot of oils have nicotine in them and are really flavorful. they also don't stink like cigarettes do.the dead vote well wrote: ↑15 Jul 2021, 20:34what is the allure of vaping, what is the point of it

i haven't used them for herb as i'm not really into that stuff these days but if was going to i would use a vape over a bong or pipe
i did it for a few months with cbd to try to help with some anxiety i was having, kind of helped

Re: Got this Pax2 vaporizer
the first version of the pax wasn't really great... there is a lot of improvements made on the 2.
but yeah - it's basically a nicer way for me to get the cannabis.
I don't smoke and never did - just did some weed back in the day, without any tobacco (which I hate).
But I'm staying with the dry herb, pure. Not really into inhaling heated oil.

Re: Got this Pax2 vaporizer
oil tends to be very intense and imo very quickly gunks your lungs up, i knew people that were using it daily back 7-8 years ago and i have no idea how
smoking cigarettes is cool and fun, but only for a limited gay man's telescope imo. i took it up again last year on a casual basis and it was probably a big help in shedding all my pandemic weight, but the cool and fun gay man's telescope had passed so i gave it up again. the neat thing is once you've learned how to successfully quit you can just do it again any old time

I have been around it plenty over the years though. Just never had the urge to take a drag and see what's what. That and the whole addictive personality thing doesn't all go well with things like that.

i have smoked a lot of weed in my days but it is not something that works for my old man routine
i have had weed maybe 5-6 times in the last 5-6 years
i still think vaping is a bit robot-y and weird and prefer joints but if i was a regular user i may think differently

the illicit drug trade has been a major pillar of intelligence services black budgets for 60 odd years. if you live in a five eyes country at least, i would not expect broad decrim/legalization to happen until there is a major reshuffling of global power arrangements

the Netherlands was actually at that level during the 80's and 90's. Then halfway the 00's rightwing and conservative political parties were voted into majority, causing these drug problems to come back.
Now we see the pinnacle. This country is one of the biggest in the production of synthetic drugs by criminal drug gangs. We're chasing the "War On Drugs" the USA has been in for decades, and will continue to do so if this doesn't change - at a EU level.

Ah okay. I now understand your point and it's indeed a valid one.slugbait wrote: ↑16 Jul 2021, 23:36All drugs should be legal. Punishing people for having a substance abuse problem doesn't help them. Drugs have clearly won the "war" that had been declared on them some ~50 years ago.
My concern (at least in America) is that big corporations will step in and completely mishandle the situation to somehow generate boatloads of revenue for themselves.
Previously in my country all coffeeshops and smartshops were legally selling all they had. From MDMA to mushrooms, truffles, hasj and weed. No big companies were involved at all.
But anno 2021 that would indeed be a valid fear.

the legal weed landscape here is rather balkanized at the moment, but it is basically guaranteed there will be a big wave of rollups and consolidation once the market matures a bit. just how business is done in the US, we are a monopoly economy.

Wtf
It still baffles me they let rapists and murderers out before non violent offenders.
I have mixed feelings towards legalizing all drugs but we should definitely not punish addicts.

Re: Got this Pax2 vaporizer
I see it this way:
Pros:
Less stigma
More hygiene
Possible more access to healthcare/treatment
Like you said less edge posdibly more education
Negative:
Users will be exploited by big business
Possible increased use we dont know
Profit from poison just like profit from sugar, alcohol, tobacco, and other things that kill us as it is.
Full disclosure I have a binge eating disorder (mostly under control) like alcoholics my addiction, the thing that is killing me (not an exaggeration) is in my face all the time. Addiction is a delicate disorder and I have a lot of mixed feelings providing people the thing thats killing them already.
I think we have all been friends with addicts if not dealt with addictions ourselves.
I’m just really torn, i get caught up in ethics and it’s a clusterfuck because there isn’t a wrong or right answer. I belive it’s a moot point because the feds will never legalize anything other than marijuana.

full legalisation of all drugs would cause some interesting ripple effects in the short term but would be a good thing in the long term

Re: Got this Pax2 vaporizer
The treatment is a huge plus.
I just dislike the idea of more people being exploited and cannot get around that. Nothing in this world is perfect and the fact people would have more access to care probably sways it towards more of a positive.
For the record i never demonize anyone who tries drugs ir is addicted it us ultimately personal choice and I am a huge supporter of that.
Bringing up rx drugs is an entirely different can of worms. I mean after my emergency surgery they gave me oxycodone without asking, 15 pills. I was shocked. I elected not to use them and just power through but still.
