i cannot really rank breakfasts, because i feel like something different every day. so my ranking would be different every day

what i can say is that when i was a youth i ate cereal, yoghurt and toast mostly but i stopped eating cereal for the most part as i got older. and i started skipping breakfast more. if i have a huge dinner, then i just don't feel like breakfast. i just savour the coffees and am usually hungry by 12-1PM

I eat cereal + a banana or yogurt with granola + a banana nearly everyday.

If I'm really wanting a cooked breakfast however, it's:

Bacon
Eggs
Sausage
French Toast
Pancakes
Waffles

and for something really special: salmon lox on a bagel with all the fixings.

Our version is simply leftover rice stir fried with oil, chopped garlic and salt. This is the breakfast staple.

Other southeast asians have the nasi goreng and its varieties. That rice is cooked in coconut milk and served in a pot with pandan leaves hence the aroma. At least, that’s how the indonesians and the malaysians do it.

They are hot cereals. Grits are corn based, cream of wheat is wheat. It is more a sourhern US thing.
