i know everyone says theyre shit, but i liked the bose ones i had back in the day. by far the most comfortable of any ive used and also i thought good sound quality. however, they are not stucturally robust

It is them! I bought them on stormy's recommendation as well . I picked mine up before the the official city of the chicago cubs meetup so however long that's been and they've been going strong since.
