ive done a couple of 60 hours in my time, covering a busy office alone due to various reasons. it takes a ton of mental concentration to get through that shit. so i cant imagine doing longer

I think after a certain point the extra money from overtime simply isn't worth it. I was lucky enough to live comfortably off of just under 30 hours per week for about four years a while back, and I always considered that the perfect amount of time to put in. It was enough hours to stay engaged with what I was doing and pay the bills, but not nearly enough to burn me out. Thinking back it was also surprising how much an extra 10-20 hours per week allowed me to do in terms of pursuing hobbies.

Y'all should work less and enjoy life more before it's over.

I wish I could work less than 40 hours a week, but at least it's not any more than that.

That sentiment doesn't exactly work in Murica. Working anything less than 40 hours a week and being able to afford all of your necessities is more or less unheard of.
If you don't have kids, work a part time blue collar job with health benefits and are willing to have a roommate in a modest apartment it can definitely be done without much trouble. It might be harder today than it was ten years ago, but it's definitely better than working nonstop in order to save up enough money to not have to work anymore.

if you can even find something that offers health benefits, it seems like most jobs don't. walmart for example will deliberately schedule you right under 40 hours so you won't qualify for insurance.

Mine is contract based most agencies keep you under 29 to prevent benefits. Its scummy because you cant retain folks for the clients. The new program my brother and others are now in we can negotiate benefits and more pay to properly compensate folks.

I don't know much about retail, but at least for blue collar stuff in transportation reasonable health care isn't hard to find with limited hours in varying degrees. It would be either tons of spring/summer hours followed by a huge dip in the winter, 4 10's with a 3 day weekend, or simply not averaging over 30 hours in a three month period for part time. Although that last one might have been specific to where I used to work.

I know some of the companies finance their own insurance while having outside providers administer it, and they figure the part timers are mostly younger people unlikely to get seriously ill or have children. As a result they offer them coverage in order to increase the float through the monthly premiums. I think for me it was $26 per month with a $4500 max out of pocket and a few hundred dollars per year put in an HSA. Nothing amazing, but it saved me a lot money. But I do understand the type of work that tends to offer it isn't for everyone (weird hours, exposed to weather extremes, often noisy, etc).

Being a paraeducator usually you work 30ish hours and get benefits if you dont mind taking hits and changing diapers its a sweet gig woth great benefits at least in texas and california.

I forgot the best part: you get all school holidays off with the exception of the exceedingly rare training or planning session
