Re: Starbucks
Mcdonalds is the best for just cawfee if you have to buy it at a chain tbh
Any kind of specialty cawfee local place (there are several good ones here) if I had to choose a chain I’d pick Peets.
Making it at home beats out everything

Re: Starbucks
I'm a tea person so anything related to coffee is not something I'd bother with.
Oddly enough, Starbucks is viewed as some sort of status symbol over here. It is thought that being able to afford to buy at Starbucks at a regular basis makes you look rich and well-off. I really wish I was kidding but I'm not.

Re: Starbucks
that is not odd at all, it is the same everywhere, but the difference is starker in countries with more inequality in income like SEA Asia

Re: Starbucks
Just go to mcdonalds or local, cheaper and better. $5 for what should be a $2.50 cappuccino or latte is ridiculous.

Re: Starbucks
I've only ever really gone for Starbucks at the airport due to a lack of other options. I don't have much of an opinion over what makes for good cawfee, and as a result paying anything over $1.50 always seems steep to me. Especially because for years I got it for free at work.
Nowadays I go to the corner market and get a 20oz refill for $1, or sometimes for free. They offer a few varieties from these folks:

Re: Starbucks
attractive pricing, but $60 to ship what do you mean it's expensive to fly a bag of beans halfway around the world
