Re: i'm in tampa
vacation with the old lady. faced my fear of flying and flew down here for a long weekend. going home tomorrow
trip was fine, spent most of it on the beach. the water was surprisingly warm. i still have not spotted trey, he would definitely hang out in a tourist area right? food in tourist areas is criminally expensive
also i did not like flying and am still scared of it

Re: i'm in tampa
I think this is true for everywhere that is a "tourist area" only way to avoid is to find the little hole in the walls that locals eat at - helps to know someone who lives there though.zim wrote: ↑27 Jun 2022, 07:34vacation with the old lady. faced my fear of flying and flew down here for a long weekend. going home tomorrow

Which beach in particular did you go to ?
(FYI for those unaware - Tampa is inland and sits on a bay)
I always found the Gulf of Mexico beaches to be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay nice than the Atlantic (only exception to the rule is the area around St Augustine)

Re: i'm in tampa
You should have swam there and back. Inexpensive and a good workout.
Where you can really get fucked with money is at the airport. The last time I flew to the official city of the chicago cubs a sandwich in a plastic container (basically vending machine quality) was something like $13. When I found that out I said no thanks, and the lady actually asked what I was willing to pay for it because she knew what a scam it was. I think I dealt out half and gave her a nice tip. But yeah traveling sucks.

Re: i'm in tampa
yeah i looked at the food in the little shops and the sandwiches were about 12 dollars, shit was wild. the airport process both ways was actually fine, security only took a few minutes.Paste Human wrote: ↑28 Jun 2022, 17:23You should have swam there and back. Inexpensive and a good workout.
