my metabolism is way up the last couple months so i am getting to the point where i actually need to kinda try to maintain weight, which is a very odd place to arrive at in your 40s

extraordinary! well done man, you'll blow past the finish line in no time

hit a running milestone tonight, was fretting a bit over not getting in enough practice this month due to shit weather. decided to push myself and try to knock out 5k and wound up surpassing it by a decent margin - 3.5 miles in one go, a full mile over my next-longest run. pace isn't anything to write home about at 11:30, but i'm very satisfied just to get what feels like some meaningful distance in. 2 months to race day so as long as i don't wind up injuring myself in the interim i'll be golden

i'm down about 12 pounds since august 1st and happy about it. completely stopped buying junk food and pop. making sure not to eat too much anymore.

..still need to throw some exercise into the mix

combination of calorie counting, running, and surfing, it's summer, so this is the time
