QUAKE

Post by Lavabug »

How many folks here still play some incarnation of quake? I have fond memories of playing q3 instagib with vahmpy aaaages ago. I started playing Quake 1 again after the Steam relaunch last year pretty much non-stop on US servers but occasionally some Euro ones - anyone else?

Come join the quakeworld discord and download nquake or ezquake. They are quakeworld clients and provide a much better multiplayer experience, true to 1996. The remaster is good too and the multiplayer in it via steam works nicely, but it doesnt have the same feel and game mechanics. I still play a lot of custom quake 1 maps and mods too.

I haven't touched quake 3 or live, or quake champions in a very long time. Still enjoy quake 1 and quakeworld the most.

Cool to see you back on the mabb too :santa:

Hey duder! I've been meaning to get quakeworld for the custom maps but have sarded. I miss playing aerowalk and other classics but the new customs they keep adding to the steam remaster are pretty great. Will look into it! I keep running into a hard-on bearer from NL called PisVlek and pings aren't too bad so we could have some deathmatch like the good old days :xx:

I thought I was too slow in the first week or two, but after a bit the muscle memory came back and I'm now usually dominating f4a servers and surviving neck and neck with players way better than me on 1v1. Dust off your skills and lets jam stormy. :xx:
