Good find Leon. Some interesting parts towards the end of the vid. Wonder what kind of tune it is.

Early 2012, surely that's a typo? :oldryan:

I just don't get how a lot of metal bands were able to pump out album after album in the 80's and 90's and nowadays sometimes it takes a decade for a new album while the band is still together and touring?! *looks at TestAmenT*

I hope as hell they don't put psytrance samples over those blasting sections.

And how the fuck can this be released in one year? I guess the process of recording must be almost finished if this was filmed in September. Mixing shouldn't be too long either I think Erik is pretty fast at that?

How many of you have fired up your guitars and have come up with some riffs over these drum parts? It certainly is fun trying to imagine what Trey is playing! :bang:

Yeah, what do they think? That zildjan/sabian produced rubbish kit just for this vid? These kinds of comments are comic relief to me at this stage, fuck getting worked up over these aloof pizza burgers

I really wonder what trey has planned for this song....

It sounds like what you might call 'a stomper.'

The snare has a very pete quality to it. :santa:

I agree, same with the tuning. I think he's tuned it to Pete's sounds... to keep it in MA's sonics

I totally would if I had mine at hand, even though I haven't played in months!

This arrangement sounds like MA alright, has a Heretic vibe at times. :xx:

If this is the opening track, then it kills my theory/desire that the first song is a total blast-beat fest with no build up or anything, just WHAM in your face pure fucking brutality. If it's not, then never mind...

It's somewhat of a Morbid Angel tradition to open the album with a blastbeattrack :thingy:

Not exactly. While several openers eventually get to the blastbeat, they don't typically just start ripping from the get-go, and G's opener has no blastbeat at all.

Not a lot of blasting, but at least the bass drum action suggests that it's a fast one.

(there was no way to phrase that without sounding like a complete salad bar)
