Awesome. I have a similar pic of me by the painting from around 1993...but seem to have lost it. I was surprised at how huge the painting was. Went to visit family in Germany when I was 14 and my only request was to go see the painting. Luckily my parents were cool enough to take me.

It always occured to me as a river of souls: I know that in ancient Greek culture, the dead were given coins in their eyes to pay boatsman Charon to cross the Styx. Maybe that has something to do with the coins?
