Best album is Covenant for me. It's a Gem from the hands of kings. A pinnacle of golden Morbid era.
Second is Formulas with blasting Sumerian hell
Third is Gateways to pure annihilation
Steve Tucker sucks. Trey looks like he has full blown aids. New album sucks. Morbid angel sucks. Worst production of all time. Boring. So dumb. I hate everything.
Tara and all her loyal puppy dog followers on Facebook are trashing it pretty bad. Not many people seem to like it at all and it's honestly puzzling to me. It sounds very similar to F and G. Two of everyones favorite ma albums.
I've started wondering if I got a different album than everyone else. Same with the pre-release tracks. I dont get all the hate. especially after illud

I still haven't listened to the whole album

I don't think K is bad and it has some cool moments for my taste. But I think it's kind of generic and I can't get used to the sound. Although I think the guitars are alright after some more listens. It will probably grow a bit more on me but I don't expect to get back to it that much.
K is great, period! It's definitely not a game changer like F or A (biggest reason being its sound/production), but it easily smashes I, H, G and D.
Welcome back MORBID ANGEL.
A little early but K probably won't make my top three. But it easily better than two other albums. Then I would group it somewhere in the middle together with G and D MA somewhere in the middle is awesome
re-listening to domination. aside from dawn of the angry, dominate, and where the slime live (for purely nostalgic reasons) its a snoozefest. You can really hear the lyrical beginnings of I on Domination

if you add this means war, i agree completely
I hardly ever listen to this album. I don't like David's vocals and lyrics, production is too perfect. I guess the only thing I like are guitar solos and songs mentioned above. For me, I is worser version of D. I really hope DV will never come back to Morbid Angel.

The songwriting on K is substantially better than on G, H, D, I. I truly believe this is one of their greatest outputs. The production is superior to almost everything they've done, honestly I don't think I'd change anything on it.
Best of all NO FUCKING FILLER TRACKS. Only morbid album other than Altars where I'm not reaching for the skip button a single time. Play from start to finish, leave the fucker on repeat. This is not leaving my car for a while.
I spot a pattern, three wins followed by a relative non-win and a live album. So we can look forward to L and M At the current pace of recording that would be good times up to the 2030's
I considered lying here but I couldn´t do it. Heretic leaves me cold while Illud gives me some pleasure. Both aren´t great so last or second to last doesn´t seem like an issue We could focus on the positive, a successful return with Kingdoms

heretic is one of my top ma albums, i love it. it's like trey in his bedroom plugged straight into his computer making songs. the low-fi rough production to me was refreshing and still is. everything is so polished and overproduced these days. sometimes we need more of a rough sound, not like black metal rough though
