Re: Scotty Fuller not taking part in upcoming tour
i'm sure there are plenty of qualified drummers who would jump at the chance to play with morbid, i feel hopeful about this

Longstreth would be great.
Trey could get Tim Yeung again as he's not part of I Am Morbid right now.
Derek Roddy, Nick Barker, Kevin Talley...not sure where those guys are now but I'd love to see one of them behind the kit at an MA show.

Re: Scotty Fuller not taking part in upcoming tour
I guess they always prefer someone from within the extended Morbid family. So John Longstreth makes a good chance since he's already playing with Steve in Malefic Throne.
But I hope Scott is still in because his style fitted MA very well and he did an amazing job on the K-album imo. A nice balance between technical ability and 'reading' the music. The latter is sometimes overlooked by technical superior drummers.

I’m sure they’ll find someone good, it’s not like there’s a shortage of amazing metal drummers these days.

I could. Gateways has a slick, massive production sound similar to the black album. Summoning Redemption with Lars would not be as good than with Pete, but I imagine a simple, Larsified version of that song might sound better than you would think.

Re: Scotty Fuller not taking part in upcoming tour
One thing is production and another is the proficiency with the instrument. Lars can't touch not even two bars of anything Morbid has put in stores on their entire run. Not even in his prime.brandonfromohio wrote: ↑20 Oct 2024, 22:57I could. Gateways has a slick, massive production sound similar to the black album. Nah, he can barely play "Awakening". Anything else is just too complex.

Well they just pulled out of the tour.
