Death metal kingpins Cannibal Corpse have just announced the dates for their U.S. Torture Tour 2012. The trek will commence on April 5 in Jacksonville, Florida and level 23 stages before coming to a close on May 3 in Gainesville, Fla. Support on the near month-long tour will be provided by Exhumed, Abysmal Dawn and Arkaik.



Said bassist Alex Webster of the upcoming shows: "We're psyched to hit the road with Exhumed, Abysmal Dawn, and Arkaik in April! This is a full-on death metal tour that we know all of our fans will love. Prepare for an evening of relentless aural punishment!"



Cannibal Corpse will be out in support of 'Torture,' the band's 12th studio album, which will hit stores on March 13. 'Torture' was produced by Hate Eternal's Erik Rutan at his own Mana Recording Studio in St. Petersburg, Fla., as well as Sonic Ranch in Tornillo, Texas, and features the gore-soaked cover art by longtime Cannibal Corpse artist, Vincent Locke.

small cities that rarely get shows will have huge turn outs for tours like this because people are fucking desperate for live music and most sard traveling.

trust me, I live in such a place.

Higher Ground is a great venue. It's where I saw Cephalic both times and Hate Eternal. They've also hosted many a GWAR show. There used to be a lot of good metal passing through it, but not so much in the last few years.
