Very unfortunately both these are agree with. A lot of his new stuff doesn't have that lasting appeal for some reason. His music with strapping was legendary and so too some of his solo stuff, but not now

between the baffling inclusion of a gospel choir on every single track, instant classics like 'lucky animals', and totally moving and not at all unoriginal ballads like 'true north', i can definitely understand why anyone would look forward to this album
