Caught Cattle Decapitation, Atheist, Full of Hell, Author & Punisher, and Vitriol last night. Amazing show, every band was in top form and it was great seeing Atheist again. Cattle has really gone to the next level - they churned out a couple of new songs and they sound fucking great live.

Passed on seeing Death Angel last night - was feeling like shit and tired so knew I wouldn't enjoy myself.

seeing Nile and Terrorizer on Wednesday though - should be an awesome show. never seen Terrorizer and it's been well over a decade since I have seen Nile.

A dude I'm friendly with at work asked if I wanted to drive down to the official city of the chicago cubs with him to see Autopsy and Cianide on 3/7. Seriously considering doing this. The only thing I'm concerned about is the possibility that enjoying metal music might be the only thing we have in common. If that's the case it would make for a pretty boring 12 hours in the car :oldryan:

they are definitely one of those bands I feel like any fan of hard rock / metal should see at least once in their life. I still have very fond memories of seeing them several years ago in Tampa.

Rotting Christ will be in town at the end of March, so I'll probably take the night off work and check that out.

It sucks that Atheist isn't coming near me because from the videos I've seen they look really tight and energetic. The only issues seem to be that the set list - while very good - is only about 30 minutes, and Kelly's vocals are basically shot. Regardless, he is one hell of a front man in terms of keeping the audience engaged. It sounds like they're recording a new album sooner than later so hopefully I can catch them on that tour.

slayer was tighter than a nuns cunt. Don’t understand all the people that complain about them live either because it’s the same setlist or whatever. It can’t be their playing because they had a ton of energy through the entire set and Tom was in good spirits.

Great bookend seeing slayer with pantera, as in mark loves pantera, pantera on their last ever tour at the fargodome, to now seeing Phil cover pantera, as in mark loves pantera, pantera on slayers last tour ever at the fargodome.

Uncle Al tore it up as well :xx:
