weird, this interview was published like 2 years ago when the album came out and i just randomly stumbled across it a few days ago as well. haven't had a chance to read it in full yet; i was surprised to learn the whole thing was tracked live.

i think this is the first one they've done since the mid 2000s interview with ajna when SMRC came out

nobody in the US carries it so you can order it direct for like $50 shipped or roll the dice on ebay/discogs

Have you checked with Ajna Offensive? They're always working closely with NoEvDia for distro in the US.

no joy on either one. i think distributors got a very limited supply of the furnaces vinyl because most of the euro sites i came across that stocked it previously were sold out

I ordered fas, furnaces, circumspice, synarchy, and paracletus off their bandcamp yesterday and they are shipping this Saturday. Christians wife does the merch and she’s always super fast. Last time I ordered shirts and hoodies I had them in like a week.

yeah i ordered one of the furnaces shirts when it came out and they sent it pretty quick, i was surprised

i will just end up getting the furnaces vinyl off there in a week or two, probably just that one as its their only AAA album and i already own the earlier ones in lossless.

Yeah... as far as we know that vinyl is indeed fully analog. Depending if the master was also done analog.

yeah true i guess i don't necessarily know it's AAA; seems like it would be kind of silly to go through all the trouble and expense of live tracking in a fancy all-analog studio and pressing it to vinyl if it's just gonna get cut from .wav's though. but i guess it would also be unusual for any 'underground' band to have an AAA product in this day and age, even among big name established artists it's pretty rare.

my bloody valentine is reissuing most of their catalog and for god knows what reason are producing both AAA and ADA vinyl issues of loveless, the former being a limited production offering (but both bafflingly offered at the same price point)

ADA doesn't make any sense for vinyl IMO. Unless it's some kind of reissue that was only done for CD previously.

Analog recording, Analog mastering, Analog media / Analog recording, Digital mastering, Analog media. it's not common anymore but the A/D designations used to be pretty common on CD releases. older stuff getting introduced to the format for the first time would often be ADD (because it was all recorded in the pre-digital era and then mastered separately for the digital conversion) and as digital studios proliferated thru the 80s DDD became much more common, etc.

information is lost in the digital transfer stage so a lot of vinyl purists find it silly to bother pressing something from a digital source. it's not a hard and fast rule, stuff can still sound good, but if you're looking for a purely analog experience you have to scrutinize every release

Recording was Analog.
Mixing/Mastering was Analog.
Vinyl press is Analog.

Here, the recording and/or the Mix/Master can be done Digitally.
If so, then there is conversion going on from Analog to Digital or vice versa, causing quality loss.

Unless that conversion happens on the highest quality (192 KHz sample rate, 24 bit depth) you could have some audible quality loss.

But in reality, you will probably only hear or feel any difference whem that conversion is at 44.1 KHz, 16 bit, which is at CD quality.

And even then.... if your record player and hifi system sucks or is in a room with horrible acoustics, it's all relative and neglectible.
