Re: current 93
i love this band so much but i can't really properly articulate why. black ships ate the sky is one of the most crushingly sad things i've ever heard, and i can't stop listening to it.
and am i born to die
and lay this body down
and as my trembling spirits fly into a world unknown.
a land of deeper shade
unpierced by human thought
the dreary region of the dead where all things are forgot
soon as from earth i go
what will become of me?
eternal happiness or woe must then my fortune be
wake'd by the trumpet's sound
i from my grave shall rise
and see the judge with glory crowned
and see the flaming skies
fucking incredible
and am i born to die
and lay this body down
and as my trembling spirits fly into a world unknown.
a land of deeper shade
unpierced by human thought
the dreary region of the dead where all things are forgot
soon as from earth i go
what will become of me?

The name current 93 sounds like an early 2000s nu metal band
This stuff is chill though

I just wish it was a bit less "neo"
