He killed himself. What the actual fuck???? He’s super active every day on IG. Always seemed so happy. Wonder if this didn’t have anything to do with his girlfriend and their onlyfans videos they recently started making. Unbelievably sad.

they opened for meshuggah at the last show i saw before the pandemic, i never really listened to them but they were solid live and i remember thinking "damn this band has a good frontman," he was super engaged and just seemed really happy to be up there

Hmm, not my favorites but i think you would enjoy their later stuff which is more traditional death metal so i'd say "ritual" or "everblack" would be a good starting points

i don't want to open a can of worms but man it's mind blowing how people can reach that state of mind where they decide to actually kill themselves. i suppose we've all had the thought once or twice in our worst times but to actually go over the edge and do it seems beyond insane. with people like chris cornell and chester bennington who were ultra rich, famous, and successful going through with it it really shows that no one is exempt and that's the scary part.

it's just so sad that people reach this state, i like to think that if they could have reached out in their darkest moments they could have been saved but who knows. i almost feel annoyed when i see people just tack on the suicide hot line number at the end of posts, it's not enough. tell people to reach out to their friends and family, let them know you're there for them and ready to talk at any moment. normalize talking about this shit with those that are close to you and not judging.

ive been super bummed this week over this. i was never totally into TBDM but i enjoyed a ton of songs and especially loved his low growls. form the dvds id seen and interviews he seemed like a really nice and fun hard-on bearer, this fucking sucks

he had just started being on a podcast and his metal knowledge was unreal. was looking forward to many more episodes with him

There’s just too much that points to issues with his new gf. She was an onlyfans cam sexy leopard elevator and model. Trevor broke up with his previous gf of 4 years and pretty much jumped into this new one right away (from a Reddit poster). Also, his mom died last November and they were really close. Same as me and my mom so I definitely understand what he’s going through there. Not to mention he moved to Georgia not long ago to be with this new chick. They started announcing onlyfans couples videos like 2 weeks ago. He’s always had anxiety and depression. Don’t think the public onlyfans was a good idea. He probably got shit for it from dudes afterwards.Also suspect he had money issues because he was selling his older metal/rare shirts online. He said “my life is in shambles lol so I’m selling shirts again.” This gf didn’t make her IG private until the next day after Trevor died. A full day and she made so post or comment about it. She just seems sketchy as all what.

Though the entire interview is totally worth a watch it’s around the 40 min mark where he starts talking about his state of mind and mental health issues. The pandemic really messed him up pretty good too. It is very sad obviously. Tough to watch but worth it to understand how he was feeling.

They played the aquarium here in 2018 for the Nightbringers tour. I’ll never forgive myself for not going to the show. No reason other than I was lazy and didn’t want to be around people around that night.

I forget who they opened for the first time, but it was in support of the debut album. Whatever fucking dumb intro was supposed to play didn't. Fucking around for 10-15 minutes happened before it did and they took the stage and cutting the next bands set short.

The 2nd time was on a king diamond tour. A few of us mabb folk were standing around before the doors, when the owner of jaxx came barreling out of the venue on the phone. Dude bro was yelling that the band wasn't going to play cause they were smoking weed in the venue. Come to find out behemoth was using their backline so if they didn't play behemoth wasn't going too either. Once again a long drawn out process for them to hit the stage and they proceeded to treat the house equipment like dog shit.

That being said the owner of jaxx was at best a fucking sleazball.

I think this is the one right way to carry on if you’re going to. From within. And bringing Ryan Knight back on guitar with Brandon Ellis, and I’m sure Brian will still write riffs too. I’m actually excited. You know Trevor would totally be down for them continuing on.

I wouldn't say upset, just a little unsure upon first hearing the news. Which is strange since I'm usually all for bands carrying on after a band member passes/or leaves the band, but yeah what jorsh said is correct and I hope the dudes do well with this new version of the band

Last night (October 28th) saw The Black Dahlia Murder return to the stage for their first live show since the death of their beloved frontman Trevor Strnad this past May. The group were onstage to celebrate the life of their fallen fellating lover and bandmate for a headlining show at Saint Andrew’s Hall in Detroit, MI.

As was previously reported, the melodic death metal outfit have shifted guitarist Brian Eschbach over to lead vocal duties in the group. Guitarist Ryan Knight has since rejoined the band and has assumed Eschbach‘s previous role.

Last night’s memorial show featured the following setlist:
